Yes, OTS First Aid is a Nationally Registered Training Organisation. All of our courses are nationally approved and on completion you will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

For most workplaces, university and TAFE requirements the course that is required for you to complete is known as Provide First Aid-HLTAID011 which includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) HLTCPR009. This course has previously been known as Senior First Aid, Apply First Aid and Certificate II in First Aid.

If you are involved in the care of young children then the course you are require to complete is Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education and Care Setting HLTAID012, this course will cover all topics of provide First Aid with extra awareness on early childhood injuries and illness.

The CPR certificate is valid for 12 months. The certificates for Provide First Aid and Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education and Care Setting are valid for 3 years. The CPR component of these courses is valid for 12 months and will need to be updated annually for your certification to remain current. Perform a Rescue from a Live LV Panel (LVR) and CPR is valid for 12 months.

OTS First Aid Training provides excellence in training which is reflected in our delivery and timeframes. Our CPR course takes 3 hours, LVR/CPR 4.5 hours and first aid training courses 7.5 hours.

When attending training you will receive a paper copy and electronic copy of your Statement of Attainment on the day you complete your training.

Yes, we can provide you with a replacement certificate for $16.50. Alternatively, you can check your USI account which contains information on all courses you have completed. Please note that USI information is only updated at the end of February each year.

You are required to complete our pre-course online learning and assessment prior to your training day. Following your booking you will be emailed a booking confirmation that includes access to our online first aid manual and assessment.

Yes, the qualification is the same. A two day course is required when there is no pre-course learning and assessment. A one day course is available due to our course being streamlined to allow you to complete learning and assessment prior to attending your face to face training.

You are required to make a payment at the time of booking. This ensures you receive your Statement of Attainment on the day you complete your training. Our online booking and payment system is secure and you can pay with a Visa/MasterCard or PayPal account. We can also take payment over the phone. Large groups or businesses can be invoiced and payment made via EFT.

Contact OTS as soon as possible and we can rebook your first aid course to a date which better suits you. We understand that at times things may get out of control, life gets in the way and the date you first selected is now not going to work. Our refund/rebooking policy is simple. If you contact us 24 hours before your course there is no cost to change your date. Within 24 hours of your course there will be a charge of $20.00 to rebook. If you decide to cancel your course there will also be a cost of $20.00 to cover administration costs.

Yes, you can gain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points with OTS. As a Registered Training Organisation all of our training courses are recognised by professional organisations to ensure you remain compliant at your workplace.

COVID-19: Update

Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak, our organisation has implemented steps to increase our already well-established infection control measures during training courses.

As your training will be undertaken in a group environment, the following conditions of enrolment are applicable.

    1. You must not attend any training session unless it is essential for you to do so
    2. You must not attend any training session if you have flu-like symptoms
    3. You must be clear of any flu-like symptoms for 14 days before attending any training session
    4. You must not attend any training session if you have travelled to a high-risk area or been in contact with a COVID-19 infected person in the past 14 days
    5. If you have recently returned from overseas, please consult the information provided by The Australian Government, Department of Health

During your training course, please use our handwashing facilities regularly and make use of the hand sanitiser, disposable gloves and alcohol wipes located at each facility.
